The Grossmont Union High School District is committed to providing the very best for our students and staff. That includes working to increase rigor, expanding educational options, and providing superior opportunities for our students to attain higher levels of achievement. It's important for students, teachers, parents and community members to take pride in our schools. School buildings and grounds have a multi-dimensional impact on our overall educational mission and are more important than most people realize.
Our Governing Board has been steadfast in its commitment to provide safe campuses throughout the District that offer a clean and orderly learning environment. Passage of the Proposition H and Proposition U school bonds underscores the shared partnership with our local community toward providing appropriate facilities in which to educate our future leaders.
“Building a New Grossmont” has been a guiding theme throughout the Grossmont Union High School District since the passage of the first bond in 2004. Proposition H funds allowed us to perform critical repairs to our schools including: modernization of outdated classrooms, safety and infrastructure upgrades as well as the construction of new science classrooms and laboratories. Proposition U is continuing to modernize District schools in a manner designed to support our future educational needs.
On behalf of our students, faculty, staff and the Board of Trustees, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the residents of the Grossmont Union High School District for your vote of confidence in our schools. Your support has enabled the district to initiate a number of construction and modernization projects that are providing our students with the best possible educational environment for future college and career success.
We invite you to visit our campuses to see the incredible facility improvements made possible through our Proposition H/U school bond program.
